Grenoble, the capital of the French Alps, enjoys a beautiful living environment, surrounded by lakes, mountains and some of the best ski resorts in the world.

It will certainly be your departure point for one of the many Gay Ski weeks organized in the surroundings, usually in March.

L’Alpe d’Huez, les Deux Alpes, Villard-de-Lans are just a few kilometers from the city,

Lyon, Marseille, or Nice, other French gay-friendly cities, can be reached easily in a few hours by car or by train.

In terms of gay life, Grenoble has few gay bars and venues, but you can spend a nice time there.

Gay-friendly bars are concentrated in the city center, and the weekends can get pretty lively, as Grenoble is not only the capital of French Alps, but a big University city, with heaps of students coming from all over France and Europe.

Since 2011, The European Snow Pride

is organized in Tignes/ Espace Killy, which is considered as one of the biggest and best ski resorts in the world for beginners to experts. It is situated at 3.450 meters. At night, you will join big parties with international DJs in the middle of an extraordinary mountain scenery.

The other option is the Gay European Ski week

organized in Les Arcs, a Gay Winter Sports and Music Festival.


Finally, Lille is strategically positioned to visit France, Switzerland or Italy as it is only a few hours trip by car or speed train to visit other fascinating and gay-friendly cities such as Paris, Marseille, Lausanne, Geneva, or even Turin or Genoa.
