Antwerp is the second largest city of Belgium. With a population of 1,3 million inhabitants.
It is the center of cultural, economic, political and gay life of Flanders, the North and prosperous part of the country.
You will probably arrive in Antwerp central Rail station. Called the “Rail Cathedral”,
it is considered one of the most alluring and spectacular train stations in Europe, made of gilding and marble.
The City center is compact, and getting around is easy as most of the sights are contained within a small area.

The House of Rubens, currently a museum, is the former home and studio of the famous Belgium painter.
After a full day touring, have an enjoyable break in the trendy area of Het Eilandje, packed with creative restaurants, hipsters cafés, art galleries, antique shops, and young designers stalls.

You will find gay bars all around the city. Antwerp has a great reputation within the European Leather and fetish scene. Antwerp Gay Pride is the biggest gay event, and it is held in August. Another big event is Leather and Fetish Pride, which occurs in February.
